All:
I am writing a "net send" like application. The application runs on each
person's PC, waiting for messages.
Let's suppose "Joe" is logged in to 2 PCs, A and B. I would like to enter
acommand (from my PC) like: sendto joe hello
I would then like a window to pop up on PC A and PC B with "hello." In

I have an old application that analyzes the data in the event log on one of
our servers. I would like to convert it to C#. Does anybody know of any
examples of reading the event log on a remote system in C#.

In programs like Hyena, you can use AD to view programs installed on
systems. How could I do something like this in .NET? I know there is a
directory control, but im not sure how to query AD to get the installed
software list on a remote system that is turned on. I posted this to .NET
groups and AD groups because it deals with both, and was not sure which one
I really would get a good answer from.

hi all,
I want to access remote system files and i want to modify them from
my system using asp.net(C#.net VS2003). If a request is sent to the site i
designed , on client system (where the request came to my site) the software
has to be installed (client application to get the files of the client
system and client system information ) .
Using that software i want to access client system from my system.

manual. I have found out how to do this on the local machine using
ServiceInstaller.StartType, but I cannot seem to find a way to specify the

When I invoke this windows service through a web site
I could get all the WMI Classes available in my system.
But it throws an error “Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) “ Like this for the remote System.

I want to limit the user only login the system one time at the same time.
I don't want him login the system two with the same user at the same time.
How to do this?
If i have a table to record if this user has logined, this user didn't
logout and just close IE, how do i set his recoed in the table logout?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
