Hello fellow .NET programmers! This is my first post to this forum, so please bear with me :) I have the following situation:
I created a dll using .NET. The purpose of the dll is to authenticate users via an Oracle Database. I set up a System DSN, and that dll opens a connection based on the DSN. There are several methods to get info based on the user's login. This works great on my local machine via IIS. i am using the Oracle 10g client.
However....when i move it to the server, I get a "specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127". The server has 10g client installed as well. I have set up the DSN exactly the same and the test connection succeeds. I have compared my files, and they are exactly the same.
I thought this might be a folder permission error, but it appears that the oracle folders have the same permissions. Is there something special that I need to do in order to get my custom dll to work on the server? This is the first one I have tried to implement, so I may be missing something obvious. Any attempt to help out is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
