C# WebService: How to force a full open/close tags to an empty element using SOAP?

3
I am writing a method for a web service that returns an empty element.(not null)

The SOAP generate the response XML message using shorthand format for the empty return object.

< soap:Body >
< PingURLResponse xmlns=" http://www.multispeak.org/Version_3.0 ">
< PingURLResult />
</ PingURLResponse >
</ soap:Body >

However, I would like to have a full open / close tags instead, it should looks like:

< soap:Body >
< PingURLResponse xmlns=" http://www.multispeak.org/Version_3.0 ">
< PingURLResult >< /PingURLResult >
</ PingURLResponse >
</ soap:Body >

How can I do this? in code? or an option in the project settings? under VS2005 by the way.
