Microsoft Office Sharepointserver 2007

Hi friends,

I have downloaded mosss2007 and installed successfully ,but the problem is while starting the services of the server ,it is displaying the error as "database connection failure" and it quits from there ,

can any one help how to connect the database connection to sharepointserver,

is there anything required other than vs2005 .netframework3.0 and sqlserver2005.
