Microsoft Outlook 12.0 Object Library

Hello,

If I use Microsoft Outlook 12.0 Object Library (Outlook 2007) COM
Object in my application, the custommer must have the outlook 2007 on
his computer ?

But if i use Microsoft Outlook 11.0 Object Library (Outlook 2003) COM
Object in my application, the custommer must have the outlook 2003 or
outlook 2007 on his computer ?

There's a document for compatibility between the different version of
Outlook Object Library ?

Thank's

Sylfelin -

I am having a similar problem.

I've created Word (Office) 2003 document that include Outlook code to send
the document as an attachment. I included Reference to Microsoft Outlook 11.0
Object Library and it works fine.

When user of Office (Outlook) 2007 edit and send the document, I receive it
with
Microsoft Outlook 12.0 Object Library referenced as MISSING. Makes sense
because we have 2003 on our machine. The macros/VBA then generate errors.

If I open the document in design mode and re-reference Microsoft Outlook
11.0 Object Library, then save it, it works fine.

I need to find out if I can have BOTH versions of the Microsoft Outlook
Object Library on my machine at the same time.

In VB.NET, sounds like we no longer can use Microsoft Outlook Object Library (MSOUTL.OLB)?? But Microsoft Excel and Word object library still exist. In VB6, we can just add outlook library reference, and we can send mail messages in VB6 application. In VB.NET, we should use System.Web.Mail. But little bit confused why outlook object library no longer available. Please advice.

I need to enable the Outlook object library (MSOUTL.olb) to enable my database to send emails (I have tried many methods, this seems to be the only method that doesn't fall fowl of the computers security, and works in runtime). I enable microsoft scripting runtime on each computer using my database by the following code: Shell ("c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\scrrun.dll") But regsvr32 does not run olb files, only...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
