Change In Command Button Appearance

10 New Member
Hello

I'm new to .NET and have been working through some exercises to get a bit more fluent.

I have no idea what I have done to cause command buttons to have their background appearance changed. This has happened to all previous programs as well that I have gone back over and checked, yet when I created them the command button style was different.

Originally the background of the command button was one colour (light blue from memory) and would raise when the application ran and mouse pointer was over the object. Now, when a button is added to the form its background image is split horizontially with white on top and grey on the bottom.
When the program runs and the mouse pointer hovers over the object the whole face of the button goes light blue with split image remaining unchanged.

Any ideas as to what has caused this?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If all of your previous projects buttons have changed too then It sounds like your windows colors have been changed. Or at least the definition of what "Control" color is.
If you go to the propertys window from your desktop (right-click on desktop, properties)
Then choose the "Appearance" tab. You will see some dropdown boxes and stuff.
Click the Advanced button. There will be a dropdown with different items. You should be able to find one that has the NEW color for what your buttons looks like, switch it back to the color it should be.
Try that?
