C#-APP: how to program the port 80?

hi community,

I have a project to build in c# that will filter websites by blocking unwanted sites, im using windows xp. please help me i reall need to learn port programming..tnx

This sounds like schoolwork, at which case there should be course material for you.
Your project sounds like it should be a proxy server. (Actually I am pretty sure that is correct since I had to do similar). Specifically, a filtering proxy.

I will throw you a little more help, you are going to need to use Sockets or a TcpListener and TcpClient. You will wait for requests to come in from the browser using your proxy, then check them against your filter list. Based on your decision from that, they will either get a "BLOCKED!" message or you will pass the request along to the correct place and return the results back to the client browser.
