[c# form] debug with command line params vs2003

77 New Member
Hi,
ive developed an application which writes and xml file for the binding redirects. i need this app to be able to receive command line parameters. so when form is executed normally it will ask the user for a path. when the program is executed elsewhere it will pass the path through the command line. thus creating the config file seamlessly.

Reason behind this is, it saves a step on installation. the installer im going to use (not the ms one as it doesnt support sql2005 installation or some rubbish like that) can call the app and create the config from user input in the installer. then if anything should happen to the directory where the dll's are based they can then just redirect the app again.

problem is i need to debug my code. i can build it and run it from cmd line with the params but it will never stop at break points etc.

is there a way to tell the vs2003 debugger to pass a command line param when debugging? It would make this job a million times easier.

Yes, in the properties of the project I believe there is a place where you can add command arguments.
I seem to remember it not being very clear in vs2003, but it IS there somewhere.
