Retrieve a record from table and display it in a text box.

Hi,

I have a table named "Categories".

It has 3 fields category id,categoryname,description.

the datatype of categoryname is varchar.

i wanna retrieve the categoryname from Categories table and diplay it in a text box..

i started the coding like the following..

cmd1 = new SqlCommand("select CategoryName from Categories where CategoryID='" + catid + "'", con);
SqlDataReader dr;
dr = cmd1.ExecuteReader();
dr.Read();
i cant continue bcs i dont know how the categoryname is stored..
how can i store categoryname in a string and display it in a text box?
