c#-web inherits problems at upload

does anybody know why i keep getting an error in inherits="projectname._default" in my default.aspx file everytime i upload to the web ? removing it usually gives another error on the page.

the page runs fine in vs.

Does your web server support ASP.NET?

Are the permissions on your files set such that the ASPNET user (internet user/ anonymous user account) is allowed access to all of your project's components?
