unmanaged C++: xml web svc proxy class - release?

Hi,
I'm new to adding web references to C++ projects.

I have a function "MyFunction", where I call "CoInitialize(NULL)", then
instantiate my wsdl.exe generated class: namespace::CMyClass proxy.

I then call HRESULT hr = proxy.function_name(a, b, c);

CoUninitialize() is called before exiting "MyFunction".

My question is:
whether or not the proxy.function call succeeds or fails, do I need to do
anything to release or free "proxy" before I leave the "MyFunction" function?

I know with BSTR & VARIANT types, they specifically must be freed or
released - it does not happen "automatically" when "MyFunction" is exited.

Thanks.
