Hi,
After installing the July security patch KB917159, our application service
is not able to start. the Error I got is "Error 1053: The service did not
respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". In EventLog,
the error description is as follows:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( .NET Runtime ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: .NET Runtime version 1.1.4322.2032-
synxus.synxuswindowsservice.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services:
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xd08 (3336), Thread id=0xd80 (3456).
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application..
Notice our service has been running for over 6 month, and the problem
happens right after installing the service patch.
I have tried to run the service under local system account and service
account with "admin" permission, both didn't work.
any help is greatly appreciated
