Hello,
Running Ethereal on my CSoapSocketClientT based web service, I notice that
with EVERY request, I first receive a 401 denied message back from the
server, to which the client replies with the proper credentials using its
CAtlHttpClient object and the IAuthInfo interface ("BASIC" authentication).
So essentially, the client ends up sending EVERY soap call twice, once
without credentials, and then immediately again with the credentials.
This works fine, but this seems like a lot of unnecessary overhead. I
wonder if there is some way after receiving the first 401 message, to send
the credentials every time automatically with each subsequent call, thus
cutting down on the number of the soap messages?
Thanks!
James
