Hello News Group,
I want to set output\settings folders for Visual Studio .NET 2005 (Standard)
to common locations. Ideally I want to have the following
D:\Documents and Settings\<My User Goes Here>\My Documents\Development and
Projects\Visual Studio .NET 2005
With the VS folders under it like;
\Backup Files
\Controls
\CSharp
\Projects (with all that goes under projects; like \VSMacros80)
\Settings
\Templates (all that goes under here too, like \ItemTemplates)
Every now and then (like when I boot up VS .NET 2005) it creates the
following folders;
D:\Documents and Settings\<My User Goes Here>\My Documents\My Projects
With the VS folders under it;
\Visual Studio .NET 2005
...\Settings
...\Templates
and
D:\Documents and Settings\<My User Goes Here>\My Documents\Visual Studio
2005
\Controls
\Projects
How do I stop the latter two from happening, if it can. I've gone through
the settings in the Tools|Options menu in the IDE, just want to know before
I start on registry settings.
Thanks NewsGroup,
Regards,
