XML File sizes

I am trying to decide whether to use MySQL or XML files as my database.
The database will be somewhat large (~10,000 rows) and I was wondering
if a database that size will be slow in an XML format? Thanks for the
help.

Use a database, at least if your data has to be changed regularly. If
you need XML support then look at databases that support XML. Or perhaps
some XML export tools for your database suffice.
