recursive web service - how to compile

Hi,

I have a web service app which is designed to be able to proxy requests from
one instance of the application to another instance of the same application
on a different machine

This means that in visual studio I have a project with a web reference to
itself. it was fine until I added a new web method and a call to it. now I
can't compile because I haven't updated the web reference, but I can't
update the web reference until I can compile it

The only solution I found is to comment out the call, compile it, update the
web reference, uncomment the call, then compile it again, but this is a bit
of a long process

any ideas?

Andy
