hi all
got a question here.
In a vb.net web service, I use a COM object to process something, but what
happen when the use end the web service call half way when the processing is
done, so at that time the COM is still alive. at this point I am not too
sure what ASP.NET runtime will do, I assume that it will just dispose the
web service instance, so what will happen to the COM object? the COM interop
object (RCW-runtime callable wrapper object between .net and COM) will take
care of it? but I think I need to manually release it.
so I write a destructor in the vb.net web service to finalize the COM
object, is it correct?
thx
