problem with Webservices(secured with SSL)

hi
I have been facing problem using C# webservices (secured using SSL).
In my webservice(secured with SSL)
It works fine if I try to access data from database through dataset.
If I try to confirm the dataset with schema using following line
ds.ReadXMLSchema(schema) and then access data through dataset

schema is a url to my xsd file.
schema = https://localcomputer/sample/trace.xsd

It would be of great help if you could provide any solution for this.

The error message is as follows:
System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not
establish trust relationship with remote server. at
System.Net.HttpWebRequest.CheckFinalStatus() at
System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncRes ult asyncResult) at
System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at
System.Xml.XmlDownloadManager.GetNonFileStream(Uri uri, ICredentials
credentials) at System.Xml.XmlDownloadManager.GetStream(Uri uri, ICredentials
credentials) at System.Xml.XmlUrlResolver.GetEntity(Uri absoluteUri, String
role, Type ofObjectToReturn) at System.Xml.XmlTextReader.CreateScanner() at
System.Xml.XmlTextReader.Init() at System.Xml.XmlTextReader.Read() at
System.Xml.XmlReader.MoveToContent() at
System.Data.DataSet.ReadXmlSchema(XmlReader reader, Boolean denyResolving) at
System.Data.DataSet.ReadXmlSchema(String fileName) at
sample.WebServices.Utils.CommonTasks.RetrieveById( String EntityId, String
xmlTagName, String TableName, String PrimaryKey, String xmlFields, String
ConnectionString, String Schema) in d:\sample\utils\commontasks.cs:line 101

Thanks in advance

This ds.readXMLSchema(schema) works if not used with SSL Webservices.
the trace.xsd file is as well accessible

Hi, I am currently on a project where one site needs to send the user credentials to another site, through web services. Scenario: * "User 1" will authenticate to "Site A" using NTLM ("Site A" provides front-end presentation of data) * "Site A" will request confidential information about "User 1" to "Site B"

Hi, I am interfacing with another company using web services (they are a java shop). We've been doing this for over 2 years, but a couple months age we started getting this error randomly. It started getting more frequent, so I re-wrote the code from ASP to ASP.Net. The problem still continues. It appears that the problem happens most...

Another formulation of the message tittle could be : is it really "safe" (in the business sense) to embed a SSL webservice consumer into any given software, given that any time a proxy server will be encountered, then the call will fail (based on my knowledge) ? ....Different Player, shoot again... I am asking a question which was posted...

Hello, I'm presently developing a WinForms app in C# (VS.NET 2005) which needs to interface with a web service running on the company's public Internet site. Hi, I'd like to my WCF webservice to work both on SSL and without. Unfortunately searching has led to dead ends, references to changes that only work on the old previous beta versions and I admit I am rather confused and frustrated. That being said, I'd like some direction in how exactly I'm supposed to accomplish this. Thanks very...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
