How many things must I bear in mind for .NET?

Dear gurus,

I am just a .Net newbie.

I would like to install .Net in my workstation. In terms of space no problem
at all or I don't think so: I have got 11 gb free. Well, my fear is easy to
explain to all of you: constantly I have to check out and debug more than ten
production applications write in VB 6.0 (front-end and back-end sides along
with their annoying Exe and ActiveX DLL). I want to maintain both systems at
the same time and overall, old applications follos going without hindrances
or any kind of issues.

Of course, all these projects are published in VSS but lose them would be
enough
disastrous.

Let me know if you need further information.

Thanks a lot for your support and best regards,

Enric,

Nobody can guarantee that there will not be in your particular situation a
problem.

However Net is from 2002, you are really not the first. Did you see a lot of
problems when you did a Google on that.

Not those Linux advacacy style of problems, there are a lot of messages that
the world will end soon.

However people who had discovered problems when they had installed Net.
