when will .net v2.0 roll out?

I am wondering if it is worth to create of FtpWebRequest
of my own or just wait.

How long are you prepared to wait :-)

..Net 2.0 (or 1.2) is very likely to be 2004, but quite likely to be towards
the end of 2004 AIUI.

Thanks for reply. Looks like I have to go with my own way.

The framework people in ms never think of FptWebRequest
when they were working on HttpWebRequest? Hard to
understand.

On the other hand,
there are several different FtpWebRequest implementations out there - can
you use one of them?
