Is there a new virus going around?
view application at www.jupperman.com/flashcard.
I copied the flashcard example from the MCSD Self-Paced Training Kit for Web
Applications and posted it on my web site. A week later, I decided to include
a "change preferences" menu. I drag-dropped the labels and textboxes and ran
the application to see how it looked.
I tried entering a number in the answer textbox and hit the enter key, an
alarm bell sounded and my autopostback event did not fire. I pressed the tab
key and the autopostback event processed with no errors.
I have looked at every piece of code and visual studio option and can no
reason why my enter key is disabled and alarmed.
I rebooted my computer. Then started a new project, dragged two textboxes
and set the autopostback property. I ran it, entered a value in a textbox and
hit the enter key, the computer sounds the alarm bell and there is no
postback.
I have teenage boys. They like to play tricks on Mom and sometime download
things they shouldn't. I ran Norton Virus check. I loaded the faulty
application to my web site. I ran it from my work computer. When you hit the
enter key, an alarm bell sounds and the autopostback event does not fire.
The enter key works fine typing in a code behind file, or in notepad or
word. Only my C# application's textboxes seem affected. What went wrong and
how do I fix it?
