Virtual PC + License

I installed XP Pro in a VM. I had to connect to my domain and get a
connection to the 'net' - to activate this XP VM.

Q: Is there a method to create a VM like this without having to: join my VM
to my domain so that I can acitvate? I would like to create a VM that is
standalone and doesn't need a network connection.
