My .NET app is being redirected by a www.onestepsearch.biz page

P: n/a
Hi All

Could anyone help me, pls?

I am trying to run a .net application from my computer. This app is in
another server. Everytime I try to launch the application, e.g.
http://remotemachine/appname/folder/logon.aspx, this page is being redirected
by an annoying application and telling me that my application cannot be found:

http://www.onestepsearch.biz/apps/ep...5520&prt=NN100

In another machine had the same problem, but in that machine a different
application was being used for the redirecting issue (instaFinderK). In this
case I managed to avoid this by going through "Tools/Manage Add ons..." in
IE; but for this case (www.onestepsearch.biz) I haven't been able to fix it

Thank you very much in advance for your time,

I suspect you have either spyware of adware on your machine.

Marco,

Is the remotemachine one of your owns (can you admin it).
Than start this url from that and see what happens.

Probably is set in the IIS from that to handle this procedure when the url
is not valid.

I'd start by examining my computer system for spyware/trojans. I
recommend the following two pieces of software (both of which have
'free' versions that are quite capable of the task):

1. AVG AntiVirus

2. Lavasoft AdAware

Run these two and kill off any viruses / trojans / spyware found and
then try running the .net application again from your computer.

Hope that helps.
