Filter/Search records in DataGridView?

How can I filter/search records in DataGridView after filling it with data?
The BindingNavigato r provides default functionality for navigating, adding,
deleting and saving records. Is there anything available for
filtering/searching records? Is there any Filter Bar available in
DataGridView control similar Component One True DBGrid control?

Thanks

In reading some of the posts on this group, it appears as though it is not strait forward at all to filter a form, which has subforms, by criteria which are either on subforms or span more than one subform..... This MSDN article however makes it sound as simple as clicking "Filter by Form", entering the search criterial in the form and/or it's subforms, then just clicking "Apply Filter"...... ...

However, when I click "Filter by Form" in order to search for records based on this form, I would like to be able to enter a value in this "days" control so that I can filter records on the form based on this calculated interval (i.e., i want to search for records specifically where...

I'm trying to filter the records on the mainform (MailingList) of my database using a field contained in a subform (Donations). I was basing my code off Allen Browne's Access Tips page (here: http://allenbrowne.com/ser-28.html) since it has worked so well in the past. However, now I'm trying to filter by date instead of by a string or a number, and I'm getting nowhere. My goal is to have users type a date into the unbound combo box and...

Hi all, I have a DataTable and a DataGridView that is using it as a datasource. I'm using the DataTable.Select method and I can find some rows. Is it now possible, somehow to use the result of the Select method (a DataRow collection) to make the DataGridView filtering only on those rows? I mean to display only the found rows and after that to select all previous rows back again? I want to use two buttons on my form "Apply Filter" and...

Hi! I have created a Union Query in ACCESS 2003, that combines 130 records from one query (Extra Foreman Radios) and 250 records from another query (Forman Main Radios). I have created a continuous form and used the Union query (qryRadioDataUnion) as my record source. My question is...how would i apply a filter to that query record source to allow the user to limit the search results down to an individual contractor, radio type, SIM card...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
