VB6 front end & VB.net dll problem

using a VB6 front end to interact with a VB.net dll... which does the DB I/O

Multiple step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each ole db status

error no "-2147217887(80040e21);"
Other people on the team have no problems.

When I have a VB.Net front end, then the VB.net dll has no problems....

any ideas what to do with regard to the VB6 to VB.net
