dotnet installation problem

Visual Studio.Net 7 cannot be installed onmy system.I had the beta version
installed. After I faced some problems I had to uninstall it and then tried
to install it again. But installation stopped after some time at a dll
file.Presuming that the CD is not good I tried to install the full version.
Here also I encountered the same problem. I even installed a new RAM(128
MB).But that too could not solve my problem. Please help me out.

My system configuration:40 GB Hard Disk, 128MB RAM
Display:800 x 600;High color(16-bit),52x-CD-ROM Drive
Windows 2000 professional
