how to create a "docked" window

I am trying to emulate the "docked" functionality in AIM. Basically it
"snaps" to the side of your screen and resized all other windows around it.
I can get it to "snap" without a problem but when a user clicks the maximize
button on a different application it covers my application up instead of
what I want which is to maximize to around my application.
Thanks in advance,
~Logan

Hi Logan,

There are several articles in codeproject which takes you thru the process
of creating such docking controls.
For eg:
