I have a transaction log file where the DataSet table's Description column
is actually delimited into "subcolumns" based upon the transaction id. I
would like to parse these into separate fields for reporting purposes and am
wondering if anyone knows if this is easily accomplished using the .NET
version of Crystal Reports?
For example, the description column may be reporting on a dataentry error as
follows:

The first requirement I got from BI group is "we just want to look at the
data". Basically, there is a huge database, and they want certain people to
be able to drill down to the data they want, perhaps a few graphs here and
there, and then extract selected data to an Excel file or a flat file for

So I am making a small asp.net application and need to generate a crystal
report with one image that changes depending of some data.
I am using a Oracle database and for me is not important if the images are
on the hard drive or in the database... I just dont know how ti implement a
image that changes in the crystal report

Can any one help me. I added crystal report item to my project .net. After
connecting to database , i inserted three columns from table. I ran report in
..net is working fine.
My problem, I want to add fouth column from DB to my report. My field
viewer is disable, I cann't insert columns from table. Can any one help me to
enable field viewer in tool bar.

The bitmap I am trying to display in a sample Crystal Report is coming
up with much less quality than the original bitmap.
I have a 300x300 dpi bitmap file that I want to insert at run time into
a Crystal Report. The path to the file is stored in a varchar(100)
field in a table in SQL Server.
The Crystal Report displays the bitmap in the IBlobField object but it

I see a lot of jobs advertized for people knowing Crystal Reports. I
tried to use this platform 6 years ago and found it awkward and
difficult. I find Access, using ODBC, to grab data and build reports to
be an easier solution for me anyway. So what is all the fuss about
Crystal Reports? Why use it, why learn it, why not tell an employer you
have another way of getting him his reports than CR?
Maybe I'm missing something???

**Using Visual Studio 2005 and Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Developer
Edition.
I currently have a multi-threaded C# application that loads a Crystal
Report at runtime, fills out the necessary parameters and then exports
the file to disk.
I export around 5000 reports a day, in about 3 hours (nightly runs of
the day's transactions), but sometimes, without warning or any debug
info, the application locks-up using 100% of the processor...

hello,
i have an .RPT file that i am using to load a report via the ASP.NET
CrystalReportViewer control. i dont include my .RPTs as embedded
resources...instead i load the absolute path of the .rpt (on the file
system) to the control's ".ReportSource" property. i do this because i
like to move new versions of the reports w/o having to rebuild the
site.
then i pass in filter criteria to the control's ".SelectionFormula"

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
