Hint: nullPointer in org.apache.xala n.xsltc.runtime .output.Transle tOutputHandlerF actory.getSeria lizationHandler

Just a hint for others:

I got a NullPointerExce ption in
org.apache.xala n.xsltc.runtime .output.Transle tOutputHandlerF actory.getSeria lizationHandler
and wondered what went wrong.

I had put the wrong method as output property "pdf" instead of xml.
transformer.set OutputProperty( javax.xml.trans form.OutputKeys .METHOD,
"xml");

Hi there, I made some changes to my XSL stylesheet and now Xalan 2.5.1 is facing ClassCastExceptions. I'm pretty sure, that the changes I made should work (they are quite complicated -- I'd like to not explain them here). My question is, is a ClassCastException a usual response in case of an error in a stylesheet or is this a bug? I thought, Xalan would handle exceptions like this internally.

Hi All, I am planning to use Xalan to transform XML data by applying xls stylesheets. Here tricky part is, Xalan provides several C++ APIs, which are very much useful if our requirement is just inputting a file and getting a file. Or giving a xerces dom and get a new xerces dom. I would like to know whether any of you tried with their own custom

One of the features is take take aircraft OEM provided SGML/XML data, mix it with data from our own application, and show a PDF print of it. We save our own data as xml, merge it with the OEM xml data, and use a stylesheet to control how we want it to look. We use Apache FOP to turn it into a PDF. ...

Hello, I have to use xalan to transform some XML using XSL, but I have some problems within the XSLs, and Xalan doesn't give very good error messages. Is there any way to put Xalan on debug or trace mode or something else?, it's almost impossible to find the problems with those messages. i.e.: This is /xsl/template/list.xsl

What are the rules for classpath, when using Xalan on the command line? I'm using java J2SE 1.6.0 but haven't used Xalan for a while and ran into all kinds of troubles today. Of course, I went to the Apache site and got the binary jar's, since it looks like Sun stopped including it. I'd also like some advice on using compiling servlets that will use
