Was wondering if XSLT alone is appropriate for the following situation.
From XML, I'm creating a small website (around 50 pages) with pages that
link to each other through a nav menu and a "crumb-trail" of links. I'm
transforming the XML with XSLT through Saxon.
The nav menu and "crumb-trail" show the user where they are within the site
and is made by reflecting the XML tree structure.
My problem now is that when I want to generate...

I am trying to implement a better method than I already have to document
database schemas with XML, and use XSLT to both generate database DDL
statements (CREATE TABLE, etc) and to transform to HTML for documentation
purposes. In particular I want XSLT to transform to HTML so that my XML
documents can be "live", doing the transform in the browser.
In the new system a very short XML document looks like:
<database>
<table id="PROVIDER">

Hi Friends
I have to call 1 of the 2 child XSLT files from the Main XSLT file
based on some criteria. I want one child XSLT file will be executed by
version 1 of XSLT processor and the other by version 2 of XSLT
processor based on some condition.
Q) How and where shall I write logic or import desirable XSLT on the
Fly ?
Q) When we call AAA.XSLT then it will be processed by XSLT Processor 1

Can someone point me in the right direction regarding xml/xslt? I have
the following xml file with corresponding xslt and would like to add
some aditional functionality where a viewer can select from a dropdown
menu or radio box which tier of servers to view thereby filtering out
the others. From a few sources I've seen it looks like I would need to
use xsl:with-param, but references I've seen of this do not explain it
at my level...

Hi,
I'm very new to xslt and this is my first time posting to a Forum so please forgive me if I transgress any protocols.
I have to do a tally report. This report is divided up into sections. Each section has a list of questions. Each question has responses.
I need to display a list of responses to the questions (i.e. set:distinct), once and only once, each section.
My second problem is that these questions can also have corrective...

Here's a short list of useful xslt general tricks that aren't taught at w3schools.
Attribute Value Template
Official W3C explanation and example
This is when you want to put dynamic values in the attribute of an element. Instead of using the <xsl:attribute> element, you can simply place the xpath in the attribute itself.
The most common usage of this is in creating hyperlinks.

I have added:
<br><xsl:value-of select="Line" /></br>
to my XSLT stylesheet to get a line per repeating block. When I view the output as XML it looks perfect - one line per block. However when I output the file to a text file, all the data is wrapping and at the end of each block I am getting the text part of the header included but not all of it. The text that appears is:
<br xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
