The setup: a Sax parser in a servlet and a Java client (same machine) which
uploads an XML document containing CDATA elements which hold base 64
encoded binary files. The servlet then SAX parses the client's data. If I
comment out the parser call I can see that the transmition time of large
data files is very low.
My understanding is that a SAX parser should transmit the content of a CDATA
string downstream without signiificant...

Hi,
I am parsing a small xml document and the parseing goes 'all funny'
when parsing this element: <useragent>Mozilla/4.61 (WinNT;
I)</useragent>
I've created a subclass of org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler, and an
instance of this subclass is set on my
org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser:

Hi,
I want to get text out of some nodes of a huge xml file (1,5 GB). The
architecture of the xml file is something like this
<parent>
<page>
<title>bla</title>
<id></id>
<revision>
<id></id>
<text>blablabla</text>

Hi,
I am using VB6, SAX (implementing IVBSAXContentHandler).
I need to extract binary encoded data (images) from large XML files and
decode this data and generate the appropriate images onto disk. My XML
files have the following structure:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<imagepla xmlns:dt="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:datatypes">

Hi,
I think I ran into a bug in the XML SAX parser.
part of my program consist of reading a rather large XML file (about
10Mb) containing a few thousand elements.
I have the following problem. Sometimes that SAX parses misreads a
line.
Let me explain: the XML file contains a few thousand lines like this:

I am using the function listed below to handle characters events in
SAX. It does not handle multiple sequential calls to this function
correctly. For example, I am getting
"2 4 816 32 64" as a value for an element when processing <vec2 4 8
16 32 64 </vec>
because I am getting 2 calls to process the text in this element, one
for "2 4 8" and the other for "16 32 64". I have tried appending a
blank to the result after each call to this...

Hi. Presumably this is a easy question, but anyone who understands the sax
docs thinks completely differently than I do :-)
Following the usual cookbook examples, my app parses an open file as

Hi,
I am facing a problem while parsing local language characters using
sax parser. We use DOM to parse and SAX to read the source. But when
our application parses strings with local language especially
czech,polish,turkish in place of local language character some other
word is comming.
Eg:
Input string :ahoj, jak se máš
Output string :ahoj, jak se máš

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
