C# Tapi application

1 New Member
Hi all,
I am new to TAPI and i have to develop a C# application that reads the phone number of an incoming call from Cisco IP phone. I have to use tapi 2.1 and cisco TSP in my application. I did some research and found out that i can use Helen Warn's C# wrapper for tapi2. But i am confused about certain things.

1) Where should i be installing Cisco TSP? On the client workstation or on the Call manager server. And how should i be referring it my application.
2) Do i have to built some listener kind of application that listens to my line for any incoming call.

Any guidance or help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..

Hi Lee

I know this is a bit old this post, but was wondering if you have manager to get anywhere with it?

I am starting to try, I have installed the Cisco TSP on the client machine from Call Manager, but cannot get the Wrapper to find any lines.

Thanks

I need to develop support for communications using modems (AT compatible modems) in my application? Where do I start? Would you recommend using TAPI? Or would it be a better idea to directly access com port and use AT commands for dialing out, etc? Any other approach?

I'm rewriting a C++ TAPI app I wrote a while ago in C#. Everything works fine for the first call. Unfortunately, all subsequent calls are completely ignored by TAPI until I restart the app again. I remember running into this same problem with my original C++ code and it was being caused by my failure to release all call related tapi resources. As a point of reference the C++ app has been running quite well for over a year. Anyway, I...

Hello there, I am a complete novice when it comes to TAPI. I have been asked to write a simple application that gets an incoming call and reads some of the information that comes with it (specifically the number being called). I don't need to answer the call or anything else with it apart from just reading the number being called. Basically it will be a small background app that will use TAPI to know which number is being called when the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
