We have an issue where the JAXB generated classes are creating an
interface which references itself. The Schema is valid, and I have
not seen this ran into before. The code is below. What is interesting,
is if I change the name of ErrorType to Error the issue goes away.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? Do you have a solution?
The pertanant part of the schema:

I have been given a schema, instances of which I'm required to be able to
consume and generate. I'd like to be able to manipulate these instances as
DataSets internally in my application. The schema defines the following
simpleType:
<xs:simpleType name="cs">
<xs:restriction base="xs:token">
<xs:pattern value="*"/>
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>

Hi,
I'm new to .net (as of last week) but here goes.
I want to serialize/deserialize a file the conforms to an XML schema (xsd).

I'm new to .net so here goes.
I'm tying to deserialize a class that is associated with an XML
schema.
I created the C# class with xsd.exe as below:
xsd.exe /c /n:somenamespace properties.xsd
this creates properties.cs

Hello,
I have already read several existing posts about xsd:extension, but do not
find something useful to my test case. I have one xml file and one xsd file.
I can use a simple command line (C#) program to validate the xml file against
the xsd file without any error. The problem is that when I validate the same
xml file within VisualStudio 2003, I got five errors, which are all related
to xsd:extension. It seems that those "problem"...

Attached is an example of my question. Note the "values" attribute is
optional. Also the <valuesub-element is optional. Here, the XML
can contain, 1 or both or neither. I would like to allow EITHER the
"values" attribute or <valuesub-elements - but not both.
I tried using a <choicewith two element definitions for
"characteristic" with different content, but this is clearly not
allowed in XSD.
Does anyone have an answer? Thanks.

Using this command line to run XSD.exe
xsd /c /o:outputDir input.xsd /f
on the following XSD
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:dino="http://example.com/test" targetNamespace="http://example.com/test"
elementFormDefault="qualified">

Hi all,
Hope someone is able and willing to help me with following problem.
I received a xsd file from another company, our company i supposed to return xml based on that xsd.
Problem is that I don't really understand how these namespace work in xml.
(I am however aware of what problems namespaces solve)
I'm not even sure if the provided xsd is 'common' practice, although it validates correctly.
So I'll describe exactly what I've...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
