Re: .NET 2005 problems

Marco wrote:
Hello everybody,

I making a Windows project with .NET 2005. It was working fine BEFORE I
downloaded Atlas for this version. Now I cannot open my forms in design
mode. for some reason, the Inheritance forms issue is not working. To test,
I made a quick new project. I made a Form1. Later, if I try to create a
Form2 that inherits Form1, I cannot find the Form1 in the screen Inheritance
Peacker. If I do the same thing in another machine without Atlas, I can find
the Form1 in Inheritance Peacker.

Also, if I just add the code "public partial class Form2 : Form1", later I
cannot open the Form2 in design mode. (without Atlas, I can open)

So, i think there is a problem after installing Atlas.

Could anyone help me on this please?, maybe a service pack is missing, or
the way I installed, or ... I do not know.

Thank you very much in advance,
Marco,

Hi, I've installed (by that I mean a full uninstall and re-install) Visual Studio 2005 at least twice on my 64-bit windows machine (AMD64). I make sure I install the SDK 2.0 for x64, and the installation is completed 'Succesfully' as per the setup dialogs. However, when I try to open the IDE by clicking on the shortcut, or attempting to open \Common7\IDE\devenv.exe, I get the following dialog:

I am still waiting for my copy of VS 2005 that I ordered about 2 weeks ago. When I finally get VS 2005, I will want to continue to run my projects using 2003 and at the same time I want to make a copy of my currently projects and upgrade them to VS 2005 and .Net 2 to make sure everything works correctly and start taking advantages of the new features. Also, I am not sure I am ready to make the jump to 2005 cold turkey. Is anybody...

We have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. We are upgrading SQL Server to SQL 2005, and are considering upgrading to Access 2003. Someone mentioned that they had heard about some incompatibilities between Access 2003 and SQL Server 2005. Anyone hear of anything? And, if so, would staying with Access 2000 be better? Thanks! Neil

Does anyone have any good detailed information on the conversion process? We are in the process of converting 2 projects from 2003 to 2005 and have some conversion errors that I can not find answers to. First, we have a lot of UserControls. I am getting the error "Type uc_mc_btn_footer is not defined." where uc_mc_btn_footer is the name of the UserControl. Also, on almost all of our UserControls the conversion has remmed out all my code...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
