Unable to download/Install

On my other laptop (OS=MS XP) I cannot download ANY programs. Sometimes I do
get as far as a partial down load, but then it won't install. I am using IE7
and kept updates up to date, but now when I try to download anything I get
the same problem. When I investigate further error message says 'Download
updates for NVidia Graphics Driver' but I have done this and seem to have the
latest drivers. A friend of mine is having a similar problem, and finds she
can't even get updates. Do you think this could be a virus or some other
problem?

Are you talking about Windows Update or other types of downloads? You ask
about a possible virus. Do you have competent AV software that is up to
date? What does a full scan in safe mode tell you? *What* program is telling
you to download graphics driver updates?

When you gather the information, post back to an appropriate Windows XP
group. This is a .NET programming group.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here to find an appropriate
group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

Click the + beside your language. then scroll down to Windows. In Windows,
open the Windows XP category, then find a group there to post in.

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server 2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a request. "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)." Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
