Title: What are the Consequences of Aspx page separate from app DLL
Hi JL;
I am working on a big asp.net application.
When we migrate the dll (or dlls) to the production server, all users
who are login into the application are pumped off. In fact we must
close down the server (to preserve users from being logged on and
thinking they are updating data when it is in fact lost when we move
the dlls to the the applications bin directory)....

I am trying to make a page that is changing
the page schema(colors and graphics)
depends on the specific value (for example, test.aspx?page=1)
I have so far achieved accepting page values
(with c# code behind, request).
Now I need to pass back to all the schema values to aspx page;
however, it doesn't seem to work by using inline code(<%=value1>,
value1 was assgined in code behind) in my aspx page.

I'm wondering if there's a solution here -
I have an ASPX page with a sole purpose of scaling an image. The ASPX page
contains a single line with the codebehind tag, and the .cs file contains
the code to read an image, use GDI+ to scale it to a reasonable size, and
emit the image directly (setting content-type on the response and spitting
out the bytes for the image).
What I'd love to do would be to eliminate the ASPX page and be able...

I am using .Net 2003 on a XPPro running IIS.
I am unable to view any of my ASPX webforms in a browser
unless I modify the .ASPX file
and replace Codebehind="employee.aspx.cs" with
src="employee.aspx.cs".
It looks like my bin/employee.dll file is not being used.
Instead, my employee.aspx.cs file
is being used.

In my ASP.Net app I have a aspx page that's called by an
other page's client side JavaScript code. The problem is
that the first time this page get loaded, it will be
cached in the user's local cache and will not be refreshed
in the following calls. I checked the following calls and
I see that even the page's Page_Load method of the
codebehind will not be invoked.
I also checked that if I clear the browser's cache each
time the page...

I have to pass values from one aspx page to another. The controls I
have in the first page are:
a textbox, 3 drop down lists, and 2 check boxes, and a submit button.
It is a search page, and the users need not enter values in all the
controls. they can leave the textbox blank, and select values from one
drop down, or any other combinations.
I am trying to pass values with the help of session variables. But I
have multiple if else...

I have some code repeated in many page_load methods in an ASP.NET app.
I have buttons that are enabled or disbaled depending upon the state of a
variable in the session.
Is there a way to put that code in a file and just include it in all of the
files;
...or is there a better way?
Thx

I am switching from Java to the .Net framework.
In order to separate page layout design from the application code, I
studied the codebehind tutorial by John at
http://www.asp101.com/articles/john/codebehindnovs/default.asp
In my GetQueryResult.aspx, I defined a DataGrid as follows:
<asp:DataGrid ID ="dgQueryResults" runat="server"
AllowPaging="True"

Hi;
I have a IHttpHandler that is generating a page. If it throws an exception I
want to put up a nice page that is based on my master page so it looks good.
How can I redirect from my IHttpHandler to my handle_error.aspx page passing
it the exception in the request, not in the url. I would prefer to pass the
filename, line number and Exception.Message string but I can live with just
the Message.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
