vista + visual studio 2005 + access 2003 oledb connection fails

4 New Member
I'm trying to set up an oledb connection between vb.net in visual studio 2005 and an access 2003 database. This works without a single problem under windows XP but not on a laptop configured with Vista.
The connection fails upon the connection.open () instruction.

Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem ? Thanks !

Greetings

Hi, On Friday I attended the Microsoft EVO conference in London where they talked about Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange 2007 and how they all work together beautifully, how they were all "people-ready" etc... I asked a couple of questions about Visual Studio.NET on Vista, especially on 64-bit Vista, and they became *very* nervous... To cut a long story short, Microsoft will not support ANY version of Visual

Hi I am currently using Visual Studio.Net 2003 running on Windows Server 2000 operating system. I have used Visual Studio.net 2003 connecting to Access 2002 databases in the pass with great success. Now, I have a need to go to Access 2007 which produces database.accdb file instead of database.mdb. I've used ole db Jet 4.0 to connect to Access 2002 in Visual Studio.Net 2003, now I guess you need to use Microsoft Ace 12.0 to make a...

Hi, I wonder if someone could shed some light on this one for me. I have developed a web app in VS2005 with the built in server. It uses an sql database, everytihng works. I need to test it across the network, so i've installed IIS7 on my Vista machine and created a new website, point at the website's directory. After I switched to the 'Classic .net' app pool, it shows up on the port.

I am running Visual studio 2003 with framework 1.1 on a vista platform. However it runs very slow in debug mode, especially while it is loading dlls. What is the problem? Is there a compatibility problem between XP and Vista? How to speed it up? If I upgrade the Visual studio 2003 to 2005, will it solve the problem?

Hi I've got a problem with my current application. I currently use Windows Vista with Visual Studio Express 2008. If I compile the application on Vista, it works fine on Vista, but it doesn't work on XP. If I compile it on XP (with the same source code ), it runs without any problems. The thing is: I only have a virtual machine to test my software on XP, but I can't develop on it.

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
