I have a VB.NET application I wrote that I now want to redistribute. The
Deployment tool that comes with .NET seems a bit limited. I basically want
to create an install program that will conditionally install the following.
1).NET Framework
2) MDAC (latest version)
3) SQL Server MSDE 2000 with service pack 3, including the custom database
that my program needs to function properly
4) My program itself

I am deploying a winforms app via the windows installer and a VS.Net 2003
setup and deploymnet project.
At the moment, I am adding launch conditions for the .Net Framework 1.1 and
MDAC 2.7 or higher, and am prompting the user to run the relevant setup
files if they're missing. I'm including these setup files on the CD.
I can't work out from the Data Access downloads page, which MDAC file I need

I am working on an application that has been developed
using Visual
Basic .net and Visual Studio.net (Framework version 1.0).

application works perfectly on Windows 2000/XP.
On windows 98 SE, it's behaviour is totally unpredictable.
There is no
obvious pattern (if there are bugs). Sometimes, the user

I want to create a setup project that for an ASP.NET application that can be
run by a customer that does not have the .NET Framework or ASP.NET already
installed. I have already seen articles on including the .NET Framework and
MDAC in a Visual Studio 2003 Setup and Deployment project using the .NET
Framework Boostrapper Plugin.
The piece that is missing is that if the .NET Framework is missing when IIS

Hello,
The scenario is this: VB.net 2003 connecting to Access 2003 using Jet
4.0 SP8 and MDAC 2.7 SP1.
