Newsgroups for third party tools for .NET developers

Dear all

Are there any popular newsgroups or some other places on the web where
third party products for .NET developers (libraries, components, build
and test tools,...), open source and commercial, are being discussed /
supported and announced?

Best Regards

Not to my knowledge but there should be. Your sig indicates you're a
language and platform foreigner ;-) so I suppose you can be forgiven for not
knowing about a well known .NET benefactor: Scott Hanselman.

Thank you very much for this link, which also contains some nice
third-party product ad banners (a free WPF data grid for example ...)!

Meanwhile I have also found the MSDN forums at
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/default.aspx?siteid=1

I will check if there is a forum which covers discussions about and
announcements of third-party tools for .NET (open source and
commercial). Would be nice if there is a central place for all this
essential stuff beside the language, the core libraries and the IDE :)

Best Regards

Hi, I would like to send mails using a MAPI client that is installed on users system (the application is developed in VB.NET). I just want to open the mail application, add attachments to it and leave the remaining things with the user. As little as I know, I think that there is no built-in support for doing this in VB.NET. Does anybody...

Howdy all, I'm improving an existing application that's partly written using Python and the standard library. Many of the improvements I want to make can be done by using third-party free software. Is there a good resource where I can go to read reviews about third party controls and tools? Right now I am beyond frustrated with this one particular vendor (who shall remain nameless) for now, specifically their support staff. They have mastered the art of just reading the first three words and throwing back canned answers. That each...

On a new project, my management thought it would be a good idea to utilize a 3rd party tool to generate the database, and middle-tier classes. We chose DeKlarit and I went to work. While skeptical, I saw the value and proceeded. But after too many technical problems and support headaches, I'm back to thinking its better to just write by...

Hi list, Is there a preferred way to distribute programs that depends on third party modules like PyQt, Beautifulsoup etc? Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
