The DataList is not as powerful as the DataGrid. It requires more work
from you since it has no default data presentation format. However,
the DataGrid begins to get very cumbersome as the number of columns of
data you present increases. Anything more than half a dozen columns or
so and you probably induce horizontal scrolling - a real no-no for me.
If you put such a...

Hi Folks,
Suppose I have two link button on a page (say lnkBtn1 and
lnkBtn2). On the click event of the lnkbtn1 I have to add a dynamically
created control. And On the click event of the lnkBtn2 I have to add a
datalist control.
Using this datalist control I should be able to add edit, modify
and cancel the items listed in this control.
Here is how I designed. I used placeholder to add the controls dynamically
to the page on the click...

Hi,
I've got a datalist with 5 labels and 5 textboxes.
I get data from a database and fill in the textboxes.
When there is no data I want to check on it and make the labels invisible or
something like that.
I want this because I want a compact list, so the labels aren't show when
there is no data in the textbox corresponding to the label.
I hope I explained it well?

The cell of the first column is used to show an image .
The cell of the second colun is used to show a * (separator) .
The cell of the third column is used to show an image .
Here the code:
< asp:DataList id="DataList1" runat="server" RepeatColumns="2"

Hi All,
Thanks for reading my post. I have been working on getting nested
datalists working properly wihtin my framework for many days and I
think I'm almost there. See if you could help me get over the hump
here.
Some of our products come in different sizes - i.e. what I call
"units". Some products don't. I successfully created the first
datalist (called productList) to show our products with their general

A DataList displays 3 columns - Product, Category & Price. These
columns are populated with records from a SQL Server 2005 DB table.
Apart from the above 3 DB columns that the resultset retrieves, there
is another DB column named 'Description'. Though the resultset fetches
this column as well along with the above 3 columns, I am excluding the
Description column from the DataList - the reason being most of the
descriptions are pretty long &...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
