ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) application. I have a web form with a GridView, which is
populated dynamically. See the code below.
First time to the page, IsPostBack is false. Therefore, DisplayItems() is
called and the GridView is populated. No problems.
When I click the select button in the GridView, I first go to Page_Load and
IsPostBack = true. Therefore, DisplayItems() is not called again. No
problems.
Then the...

I have an update panel that contains a gridview.
There are 2 triggers: one for a search button that is outside the panel
and one for the gridview EditCommand Event.
The search works fine, the button click event fires, no problem.
But the event for the EditCommand does not fire. Any Ideas? Any one
else seen this?
Here is some code:
<cc2:ScriptManager ID="atlasScriptManager" runat="server"

The PagerSettings.Visible property is not being handled properly by the
GridView control.
The value assigned to this property is not applied until after a postback.
Simplest test :
.aspx containing a single gridview - enable paging and give enough data
to page.
add checkbox with auto postback enable
add button with auto postback enable
in the GridView1_PreRender method add the following :
GridView1.HeaderRow.Enabled =

Hi guys! I am at my wits end detecting which one of the dymically loaded button fired the click event(since they all have same ID and text value)
Heres the scenario:
I have created a loop to read through the records of a table and creat dynamic buttons. I have also created the button_click event. But in the event handler I can not figure out at which point of the iteration the event was fired!!
my code is:

This seems like it should be simple to do but for some reason I have
been unable to make it work.
I would like to databind a SqlDataSource to a GridView during the
click event of a button. This sounds easy but the next requirement is
that the GridView is editable. So I have included the SelectCommand
and the UpdateCommand on the SqlDataSource to allow the GridView to be
editable. I have now been able to get the GridView to display data...

Hi I have a gridview control with a template column that has a textbox and
when the control is bound to the datasource the textbox is filled ok.
I then change what is in the textbox in the gridview control and in the
gridview_RowDataBound event I have
string DiscDescrip =
Convert.ToString((e.Row.Cells.FindControl("txbxDiscgv") as TextBox ).Text);
This returns what was initially loaded in the textbox but not what I had
just changed it...

Hello,
I have a Gridview control (.net 2.0) that I'm having trouble getting the
Update button to fire any kind of event or preforming the update. The
datatable is based on a join so I don't know if that's what's causing the
behavior or not. It seems like the Update button should at least do
something.
When the Edit button is clicked, the grid goes into Edit mode and the Cancel
button takes the grid out of Edit mode. So, I don't get what...

I've created a DAL and can use the methods to load and manipulate data in a
gridview when it is bound to an objectdatasource. But I've been told with a
DAL I don't need an objectdatasource at all but I'm having difficulty
figuring out how to do it. Loading the data in the gridview is no problem,
it's the updating and deleting that won't work. When I click on the Edit or
Delete buttons I get an unhandled event error so apparently I need...

Hello,
I have a GridView that I put inside an update panel.
I have a control that attaches to the datasource of the gridview that filters the data, databinds the gridview and then updates the update panel that the gridview is in.
In my page render I put this so I could select a row by just clicking it.
protected override void Render(HtmlTextWriter writer)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
