Can anyone tell me the best way to update a dataset while it is being
edited/viewed in the DataGridView control? Is this something that
should be inserted into one of the grid's events? or should you update
after closing the grid/form, etc.?
Also, can you tell me the best book to buy that fully explains the
DataGridView control?
Thanks.

Hi all
I have a datagridview, and I want it to show and enable editing of a
table in my mysql database.
I get the results from the sql-query into the dataset, and when I view
the dataset in the debuger with the dataset viewer, I can see that the
dataset is filled with my data, but the datagridview is all grey,
showing no columns and no data.

As an exercise in learning Visual Basic 2005, I am putting together a simple
XML editor.
I place on the form the objects DataGridView1 and DataSet1.
' Read an XML file into DataSet1:
DataSet1.ReadXml("BIRDS.XML")
' Bind the DataGridView to the DataSet:
DataGridView1.DataSource = DataSet1

I have a DataGridView with a DataSet as DataSource. The user can
update the contents of the DataGridView, and then click on a Save
button to save the data to an XML file.
When they click on Save, I call the subroutine below. The first time
that I call it, it works fine. However, if the user makes some more
changes in the DataGridView and then wants to save again, I get the
following error message:
"DataSet can be associated with at...

Hi everyone,
I have a strongly typed dataset, with my main form having a datagridview that is binded to an access database. The main form has three buttons one to create a new entry in the database one to edit an entry in the database and one to close an entry in the database. All three buttons work in the similar way, such that the entry you select in the datagridview is the entry you want to close or edit. When I click on the open or edit...

Hello
I have populated a treeview from my dataset and by clicking in the treeview i want to get the corresponding table shown in a datagridview. Ive managed this by looking at each DataRow and child rows and added the nodes with a columnname from each datarow. At the same time i have put in a tag at each treenode with a filter string and the current table im looking at as a string to use for later so i can create a datatable and set a filter...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
