I have a server application that monitors a private local queue for messages. The message sent to it has a label and a response queue defined. It works correctly when the queue is accessed via another program. However, when I attempt to Send a message from an ASP.NET VB page, I get "One or more of the passed properties are invalid." I have tried different combinations of the non-transactional Send() with no success. My Windows\Temp...

Hello, i built a small system-tray application that listens to a hotkey builds a string and inserts the string to the active application using SendKeys.Send() The Problem is - this works only once. The hotkey is still o.k. (i also copy the string to the clipboard, here I always get the correct string that contains a timestamp) but sendkeys sends strange characters the second time:

So, my web app need to, from a server, send messages to a specific client (browser), send messages for all clients, redirect a client to another page. Hi, I am trying to send keystrokes to the NES emulator nester. The idea was to be able to use a standard NES controller whose "state" I can read in using Python and then conveying that to the emulator. Unfortunately, all the attempts I have made so far have failed. It looks like the emulator is using some extremely low-level function to read keystrokes and I cannot get in before it. So far, I have tried the following functions from...

Hello everyone, Thanks to many useful posts in this newsgroup and others, I've been able to come very close to something I've been wanting to do for a very long time. I've figured out how to create a new custom protocol handler in Windows to handle locations like "myProtocol:", which lets me have a shortcut pointing to "myProtocol:myPrimaryKey" and have my application automatically open and display the given account. That's great. I

Hi! I am new to C#. I read two C# books in the last two days which only covered the basics. And now I am on my third day. The books were really bad, because they did not cover windows applications, only ten to twenty pages how to create forms. So now you know why I want to have hotkeys in a CONSOLE Application. Is this possible? I would be glad if you could give me some links in the msdn or just the names of the functions needed. If...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
