I have a LinkButton in an ASP.NET web form. Depending on the current
state of affairs, I either enable or disable the link button in by
code-behind class (e.g., disable the "Previous" button if you are
already at the first record). I have constructed a very nice style
for the button in my stylesheet, but the style is ignored when I
disable the button.
So, how do I control the display attributes of a disabled HTML widget?
Thanks...

I have a Panel control containing a few TextBox controls. The Panel is
originally enabled, I enter data into the TextBox controls. When I submit,
the Panel is disabled during the PostBack and the TextBox controls render
greyed-out, and I can see the values in the TextBox controls....this is what
I expected.
I submit again, the Panel is enabled during the PostBack. All of the
TextBox controls within the Panel are now enabled, however,...

Is it possible to iterate through all the controls collection and make the
textboxes alone as read only.I don't see a readonly property for the
Control.Can some one help me in this context?
I want to do something like this below.But I get a message Readonly is not
valid property.
foreach (Control ctl in pnlBenefits.Controls)
{
if (ctl is TextBox)
ctl.ReadOnly=false;

Hi all!
Please help me with the following real-trouble:
- I have dynamically created controls on page
- Everything works unless I set for some controls .Enabled = false
In such a case stored value for the disabled control is lost (not sent by
MSIE back to server).

Hi,
Problem - An extra column to the left (even with row headers disabled)
----------------------------------------------------------
Apologies if this posting is already in the newsgroup; but have changed to
40tude and can't see it in the newly dowloaded messages. It was originally
html (tut tut) so maybe it didn't register. I have tried a new xml file and
generated a new xsd file from it using xsd.exe and now the xml file
produces...

I have an app that displays about 20 items of data in text boxes. Very
occasionally I need to allow these to be used for data entry, but the bulk of
the time they are solely for information. They all sit in a GroupBox that is
normally disabled, but is enabled when data can be edited. The users complain
that when the GroupBox.Enabled=False, the greyed out text boxes are hard to
read. I would like to find a way to disable the GroupBox whilst...

I have DataGridView in virtual mode containing 3500 rows.
In code below, assigning to RowCount value to 3500 takes 8 seconds.
CPU usage goes high at this time.
Stepping by F11 into user code shows few celltemplate property getters and
combobox/datecombo constructor calls without database access which does not
take a lot of time.
Debug output (below) shows lot of messages Stepping over non-user code.
Running in release mode from...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
