I want to send a bug report automatically from my VB.NET program. I won't
know the end user's smtp server or what email client they are using.
The Process.Start with mailto is almost what I need, but the amount of
information that will fit in the body is too small for a stack dump and other
information.
I like the way that it would go into the outbox, but oh well, have to move on.

I use the standard code given below to send an email from an ASP.NET
web form. The code executes fine but no Email is sent. All emails get
queued in the Inetpub mail queue.
I'm using my local default SMTP Server and my from address is a valid
Yahoo/Hotmail address. I have configures the local SMTP Server to allow
the IP Address 127.0.0.1.

Hi,
I am trying to write some codes to send emails through a SMTP
server. I wrote a C++ version using pure socket programming and SMTP
protocol, a VB version using CDO and a C# version using
System.Net.Mail. Now all of them works great with any email account but
hotmail. So here is the C# code:
