POWER SUPPLY

Hi I purchased a brand new computer 2 years ago. About the last 2 months I
noticed my blue power light wasn't as bright as it use to be, in fact you can
barely see it. I also noticed my fan was making a loud noise and now I don't
hear that either. Its like it isn't getting enough power. I start the
computer up and it allows me to get to my icons but once I go into something
or leave it for 5 mins, the power automatically shuts off and the only way
you can re-start is if you use the reset button and it does the same thing
again. It there something I can do without having to bring it to be service.
I tried restoring the computer and when I do that it starts then shuts off.
I have an win xp

You are asking hardware questions in a group for software. Why
would you expect useful answers? Post to groups that discusses

Our machines have this requirement: if power failure occurs, many important variables are to be resumed from where they were interrupted after the machine is restarted (power on in this case). In other words, the basic idea is to keep a snapshot of the state machine before it is interrupted. The board is provided with: - a 32-bit H8S/2633 Hitachi microprocessor; - a battery-backed memory (BBM), where these variables are stored; BBM area...

the question is to calculate x^n(x power n) (whr n can be +ve or -ve) by using recursion. the algorithm is x= 1, n=0 1/x^n, n<0 x*x^(n-1), n>0 ive written the program it runs but im not having the correct values..here is the code: #include<iostream.h> #include<conio.h>

The fan of the power supply is very noisy, because it always runs at full speed. I'd like to have it controlled in function of the current temperature, but fanspeed isn't detected. Running sensors returns (beside the voltages) 2 temperatures and 2 fanspeeds. One of those fanspeeds is always 0. There are indeed only 2 fans (CPU and power supply) in the computer, and the one that gets displayed correctly is the CPU fan. Does anyone know why...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
