How to collect a single value from for raw xml in a stored procedure using C#

1 New Member
Dear All,

I am very new here as well as in the world of .NET. I wonder if it is possible for C# to collect a single value frm stored procudure (which extract data in raw xml). If yes, how can I do so? Appreciate if anyone could assist me. Look forward to some replies soon. Have a pleasant day.

Cheers

Hi "You" I have two collection types declared at the SQL level. 1. Do you know of any known bugs with the BULK COLLECT clause used with the TABLE operator? I have a situation now where I am using a BULK COLLECT clause with a SELECT statement and a TABLE() operator in a join. I am finding that this select statement either returns the wrong result or the right result. The wrong result is always the same... too many rows where the...

Hello - I need a good example of how to take a return value from a stored procedure and use it in vb code. I have an app that searches a database by city and state. If a user makes a typo, the info sent to the stored procedure makes the stored procedure fail. I want to be able to display a label indicating they should try again, if this is the case. I can't use row count, because the stored procedure doesn't get that far. What...

Hi Guys, I writing a project with just one module in it (the reason for this is to debug code before it becomes a service) and am getting an error which I do not understand: No accessible 'Main' method with an appropriate signature was found in 'FTP_Log_Watcher'. I have coded multiple select statements in a single stored procedure, and when I execute this procedure on SQL Server Management Express, I correctly get multiple result sets. But, if I try to add a new Data Source to to my VB 2005 project, and point to this stored procedure, the data source wizard only sees the 'first' select statement. Is there a way to load multiple tables in a DataSet from a single stored procedure with multiple...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
