I have in project in VisualBasic .NET. This project should display,add,mod ify,delete the rows of the tables from SQLServer EXPRESS. For this i made a connection to the SqlServer Express through the SqlDataAdapter from the tool box. The connection wizard auto generates the code for the select command only. Code for the update, delete and insert command are not generated. "connection cannot be properly configured" is shown as error.
my System configurations:
windowsXp sp2
Visual Studio 2003 with.net framework 1.1 Sp1
I have also installed .net framework 2 redistributable as a prerequirment of sqlserver express 2005.
Previously i had msde. This problem surfaced just after the installation of the sqlserver express. i used the SqlServer managemet studio to create the tables i need.

note: the advanced configuration to generate the sql commands are already selected.

I think there is some problem in your database/table configuration.. pls check that you have set the permissions to table/database for insert, delete, update…..

But it works normally if i connect to Sql 2000 instead of Sql2005 !! both servers has the same database i just upgraded the database from sql2000 to sql2005 by detaching it from sql 2000 , taking a copy of it and attaching it to aql 2005, and then i connect to it via my program , in all cases i checked the permissions they are granted i also grant the permissions to the guest and public users but the problem remain
any suggestions??
by the way i have both sql 2000 and sql 2005 installed on the same Xp desktop
