Deploying web Application built in .net 2.0 on webserver

Hi,I am new to .net 2.0 and have just built one web application and
deployed the application on web server. The problem which i am facing
is that if i make any changes in the .cs files or aspx files then
everytime i have to publish the site and give new upload for whole
site everytime which i feel is not correct way of doing it.and if i
give only appcode.dll file for upload then the application returns
some parse error but if i give fresh whole upload for the site then it
runs perfectly fine.I think i am missing some steps in deploying the
application as there would be some proper way of deploying the
application. Please help me in overcoming this issue.

Waiting for you response....

Hi there, hope someone can help me on this: I'm planning to deploy several ASP.NET projects to a production server. Normally I used the "Project / Copy project" option in VS.NET, but to this production server I only have FTP access. I tried copying the files with a FTP tool, but it seems that every application needs to have an own virtual directory, is this true? Or is it possible to just make 1 virtual directory and put al the projects...

Hi, I have deployed my asp.net application on a webserver. The funny thing is that when I try to run the program from the webserver.. I receive a runtime error.. but when I run the application from my development machine.. everything looks good. The webserver has .NET framework 1.1 installed but I have developed the application in Visual Studio 2002.. Could this be the problem?

Hi, Hope someone can help us with this problem. This is our first endeavour into .NET 2.0 :-) BACKGROUD INFO: ---------------------- We've built a website using .NET 2.0 and deployed onto our webserver. This webpage simply calls some web services (built with .NET 1.1) running on the same web server. The webservice executes SQL transactions to a SQL Server

Hello, I have a simple console app for deploying an MS Access app. Recently, I started having a problem publishing the app to my webserver with the publisher feature of VS2005 when I do an update to the app. So I created a "Hello World" in VB2005 for testing, and was able to deploy that app to the webserver using the publisher, and it brings up Publish.htm. But when I try to install the VBapp from the htm page, I get an error message...

I have a "newbie" deployment question. I want to confirm what's involved in deploying a web created with Visual Web Developer Express Edition to a production Server2003/IIS 6 server. The project to be deployed has a typical membership database created through the administrative interface ("App_Data/ASPNETDB.MDF"). For that dB to work on the webserver, does SQL Server Express Ed. have to be installed on the webserver as well?

Is there any way to save a VB 2005 created application as an .MSI install file? The only method I see is to publish as a .EXE. Curious because I want to push out an application with Group Policy. Thanks, Ryan

Hello, I have built an application web site using ASP.NET 2003 and MSSQL database server. I now need to distribute the entire application to customers on a CD to run the web application completely from their local personal computers. In other words, they will not need to access the Internet to run the application. I know I can use the redistributable MSSQL EMMSDE for the database part, but my problem is that I want users to run the site...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
