I am using a datagrid to display some data. I need to
create 2 header rows for this grid with columns of
varying spans. In html it would be the following.
<Table>
<tr>
<td colspan=8>Official Impact Summary</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan=2></td>

Reposting to a more relevant group.
I am passing a generic dataset into a new XMLDataDocument and then
parsing the XML with XSLT. The idea being that I can parse any dataset
with the same xslt, and dynamically generate an html table. The problem
is when the DataSet contains a null value, the node for that record is
not created. Then when the xml parses it, there are too few cells in
some of the table rows.
I can think of a couple...

Situation - Using the table pubs.titleauthor in a strongly typed dataset,
attached to a datagrid, using the datagrid I would like to set the
royaltyper field = null (the database allows nulls in this field). But when
click on the cell and remove the field value (leaving a blank), and move to
the next record, the blank cell is filled with the original data.
When I view the schema (.xsd file) of the strongly typed dataset, and try to...

Hi...
I'm working on a tool for editing text resources for a family of software
product my company produces.
These text resources are found in a SQL Server database, in a table called
"Resource" with the following structure :
Resource{,en,fr,es}
Yes.. these are the only languages supported actually.
A couple of rows in that table would look like this :

I have a datagrid that is bound to a DataView, and it shows events and the
times that event started ("StartTime") and stopped ("EndTime"). If the event
has started but hasn't finished, then "EndTime" is null. When multiple lines
are displayed in the datagrid, if I sort by EndTime, then the null values end
up sorted incorrectly - they are sorted as if 'null' is minimum - but I need
them to sort as if 'null' is maximum...
Any...

I have a datagrid populated with 6 visible read-only
labels and several hidden fields. Below the datagrid, I
have a table with various textboxes, dropdowns, etc. I've
managed to decypher the client-side coding needed for the
user to click a "select" button (HTMLButton) in column 0
of the datagrid and have the table objects auto-fill with
corresponding values from the dataset row in the datagrid
without making a roundtrip to the server.

When setting certain datagrid properties with the IDE (as in the property
window), they don't seem to take effect. For instance, Font Name. So I
have to set these via code-behind at the cell level. Is this expected?
Shouldn't anything on the properties window render accordingly? Thanks

Hey Group,
I may just be suffering brain fade but I have searched around and not
been able to find a solution. My difficulty: I have a datagrid that
shows name, address, tel, fax and toll free number. I would like to
hide the empty values. For instance; no fax = no fax number row, no
toll free = no TF row. I'm sure it must be something I am overlooking
or not thinking through.
All I can give back is my gratitude.....

I am creating my first Visual Studio project, an inventory database. I have
created a form and used written directions to add data from a table to the
form using table adapters, data sets, etc.
I imported a table from an Access database which has some date fields. Many
of these dates have never been filled in, so are nulls. If I look directly
into the table data from Visual Studio it shows NULL.
However, when I scroll from record to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
